On December 1st, under the supervision of Taicang Customs under Nanjing Customs, the CCTV broadcasting vehicle was successfully loaded and shipped from Taicang Port in Jiangsu Province. It will travel to Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo in Italy to serve as a broadcasting and reporting platform for the 2026 Winter Olympics.
It is reported that these "Chinese Red" broadcasting vehicles are expected to arrive at the San Siro Stadium in Milan, Italy in mid January 2026, to undertake the full process ultra high definition public signal production tasks for the Winter Olympics opening and closing ceremonies and multiple events, showcasing the technical strength and professional level of Chinese media to the world.
To ensure efficient customs clearance of this batch of broadcasting equipment, Taicang Customs has contacted the freight forwarding company for this batch of equipment in advance. Based on the characteristics of the equipment temporarily leaving the country and being transported back into the country after the end of the event, they have guided the agency company to apply the ATA document clearance mode.
The ATA Carnet, also known as the "Goods Clearance Passport" in the international economic and trade community, is an internationally recognized customs document specifically designed for temporary import and export goods. It has the advantages of exempting customs declaration forms, exempting import and export tax guarantees, and providing a wide range of goods for use, allowing enterprises to enjoy maximum customs clearance convenience.
Taicang Customs comprehensively utilizes the "smart customs" toolbox such as the intelligent water transportation system and paperless approval of ship materials, effectively reducing the waiting time for ship berthing operations and ensuring that the broadcasting vehicles can be put into use as scheduled.
