US manufacturing activity shrinks for 9 consecutive months
New York, December 1 (Xinhua) -- A survey report released by the American Institute of Supply Management on December 1 showed that due to factors such as tariff policies and the federal government shutdown, the Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) for the US manufacturing industry in November fell from 48.7 in October to 48.2, lower than the market consensus expectation of 49, indicating that US manufacturing activity has been shrinking for the ninth consecutive month.
