The United States launches the first double reverse sunset review investigation on forged steel parts


On December 1, 2025, the US Department of Commerce issued a notice to initiate the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation on forged steel fittings imported from India and South Korea, and the first anti subsidy sunset review investigation on forged steel fittings imported from India. At the same time, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) has initiated the first anti-dumping and countervailing sunset review industry injury investigation on the above-mentioned products, examining whether the substantial damage caused by the import of the products in question to the US domestic industry will continue or occur again within a reasonable foreseeable period if the current anti-dumping and countervailing measures are lifted. Stakeholders shall register their responses with the US Department of Commerce within 10 days from the date of this announcement. Stakeholders should submit their responses to the US International Trade Commission by December 31, 2025, and provide comments on the adequacy of their responses no later than February 10, 2026.

On November 13, 2019, the US Department of Commerce launched anti-dumping and countervailing investigations on forged steel parts imported from India, and anti-dumping investigations on forged steel parts imported from South Korea. On October 19, 2020, the US Department of Commerce made a final anti-dumping ruling on forged steel parts imported from India and South Korea. On October 20, 2020, the US Department of Commerce made a final decision on countervailing measures for forged steel parts imported from South Korea.
