Tianjin Dongjiang Port Area was awarded the title of "International Health Port"
On November 19th, Tianjin Water Transport Port (Dongjiang Port Area) passed the on-site evaluation and acceptance by the World Health Organization expert group, and was officially awarded the title of "International Health Port".
International sanitary ports are international navigable ports recognized through on-site assessments by the World Health Organization and the General Administration of Customs, based on the continuous development, strengthening, and maintenance of the core public health capabilities of ports as stipulated in the International Health Regulations. The success of being rated as an international health port this time will further improve the health and safety guarantee level of the port, optimize the business environment of the port, enhance the confidence of international cruise ship berthing and cargo transportation, and is of great significance for serving the coordinated development of Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei, jointly building the "the Belt and Road" and promoting high-level opening up.
To further enhance the ability of water transport ports to quickly and effectively respond to public health risks and sudden public health emergencies of international concern, Tianjin Customs will continue to strengthen "customs local cooperation", continuously improve the port public health system, continuously enhance the soft and hard capabilities of guarding the country and promoting development, persistently strengthen the port quarantine defense line, accelerate the construction of smart customs and the "Smart Customs Strong Country" action, fully apply the achievements of smart health inspection construction, and promote the improvement of Tianjin Port's basic capabilities, law enforcement and control capabilities, health management capabilities, and emergency response capabilities.
