On the morning of November 6th, at berth 1 of Shenzhen International Cruise Terminal, two cross-border helicopters took off and landed smoothly in sequence - the helicopter carrying the first batch of passengers flew from Macau International Airport to Shekou, while the other one departed from the cruise terminal and flew to Hong Kong's Sindh Airport. With the propeller slowly coming to a stop, the first "sea air integrated" cross-border helicopter route at a port in China has officially been opened, adding a new and efficient channel to the cross-border transportation network of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area.
To ensure smooth navigation of the flight route, Shenzhen Customs comprehensively understood the navigation plan of the flying company before the first flight, optimized the customs filing process for aircraft and flight routes, and effectively compressed the filing time. At the same time, the customs actively connects with enterprises, sorts out the application elements, guides enterprises to apply online in advance through the "single window", and improves customs clearance efficiency.
It is reported that the Shenzhen International Cruise Home Port has officially opened cross-border helicopter services to Hong Kong International Airport, Hong Kong Shun Tak Airport, Macau International Airport, and Taipa Ferry Terminal on the same day.
The whole flight from Macau to Shekou takes less than 20 minutes, which saves a lot of trouble compared to taking a boat or transferring before. This speed completely exceeds my expectations, "said Mr. Su, a passenger who just got off the helicopter." The customs clearance process is efficient, fast, and very 'smooth', and the experience is really great
We have established a linkage mechanism with port regulatory departments and cruise homeports, and have developed a refined customs clearance plan in advance, "said Fu Shuzhen, Deputy Director of the Travel Inspection Comprehensive Business Department of Shekou Customs under Shenzhen Customs." In response to the circulation characteristics of passengers, crew members, and luggage, we have scientifically designed a dedicated customs clearance route to ensure the rapid clearance of personnel and materials, which not only guarantees regulatory efficiency but also maximizes passenger experience
Shenzhen Customs will continue to make efforts to assist Shenzhen International Cruise Home Port in exploring diverse application scenarios, focusing on evaluating the feasibility of extended services such as emergency medical transfer, tourism and sightseeing, and business charter flights. It will continuously improve supporting regulatory measures and provide a "customs model" for the promotion and replication of cross-border helicopter services in the Greater Bay Area and even throughout the country.
