Chinanews.com: in the first three quarters, the value of imported food from countries along the "belt and road" jointly built by Shanghai increased by 15.5% year on year
Agricultural and food products have become a new hot spot in the trade between Shanghai and the countries that jointly build the "belt and road". According to the statistics released by Shanghai Customs on the 23rd, the value of imported food from the "belt and road" countries jointly built by Shanghai port in the first three quarters of this year was 135.34 billion yuan, an increase of 15.5% year on year.
Fruit is one of the major categories of imported food from China's self built "belt and road" countries. More than 150 countries and regions jointly building the "belt and road" across Eurasia and Africa are rich in fruit resources.
China is the world's largest consumer of fruits, while Shanghai is the main port for the import of fruits across the country. In order to ensure the smooth customs clearance of imported fruits, Shanghai Customs has taken such convenient measures as opening up a "green channel" for imported fresh fruits, unaccompanied inspection, "7 × 24-hour" appointment customs clearance and no appointment inspection mode to ensure that imported fresh fruits are delivered, inspected and released immediately.
"Since October last year, we have actively explored the pilot of the appointment free inspection mode. After the import enterprises use the advanced declaration mode to complete the customs declaration and upload materials, the port Acceptance Center will generate the inspection plan according to the identified inspection instructions and inspection types. The terminals and inspection stations will carry out the inspection preparation work synchronously according to the inspection plan, further improve the level of trade facilitation, and effectively reduce the time cost and economic cost of enterprises." Luozhen, deputy chief of the 10th customs inspection section of Shanghai Waigaoqiao Port under Shanghai Customs, said.
Recently, a batch of imported coffee beans from Colombia were successfully released under the supervision of Hongkou customs under Shanghai Customs. Colombia joined the high-quality "belt and road" family in May this year. As the world's third largest coffee producer, Colombian coffee beans are well known worldwide for their unique flavor and high quality.
In order to ensure the smooth supply chain of imported coffee beans, Hongkou customs took the initiative to provide services, carried out propaganda on imported food policies for enterprises, and solved the personalized demands of enterprises from the aspects of policy consultation, business process, customs clearance guidance, etc.
