The third round of negotiations for upgrading the China Switzerland Free Trade Agreement was held in Beijing from November 11th to 14th. China and Switzerland have conducted in-depth consultations on topics such as goods trade, service trade, investment, rules of origin, competition, e-commerce, environment and trade, and economic and technological cooperation, and the negotiations have made positive progress.

The China Switzerland Free Trade Agreement was signed in July 2013 and came into effect in July 2014, playing an important role in promoting the growth of bilateral trade and investment between China and Switzerland. In September 2024, China and Switzerland launched negotiations to upgrade their free trade agreement.
