Peru makes final ruling on anti-dumping sunset review of US biodiesel

On November 9, 2025, Peru issued Announcement No. 201-2025/CDBINDECOPI, making a positive final ruling on the third sunset review of anti-dumping on biodiesel originating from the United States [including pure biodiesel and blended biodiesel with a biodiesel content exceeding 50%, Spanish: biodi é sel puro (B100) y de las mezclas que contengan una proporci ó n may al 50% de biodi é sel (B50) en su compositi ó n], and deciding to maintain the current anti-dumping duties unchanged. The measures will take effect from June 26, 2025 and be effective for five years.

On July 12, 2009, Peru initiated an anti-dumping investigation into biodiesel originating from the United States. On June 25, 2010, Peru made a positive final ruling on the case and officially imposed anti-dumping duties (see Announcement No. 116-2010/CFD-INDECOPI). Afterwards, Peru conducted two sunset reviews, on December 19, 2016 and December 25, 2020, respectively, and made two affirmative rulings and extended the tax period (see Announcement No. 218-2016/CDBINDECOP and Announcement No. 197-2020/CDBINDECOPI). On February 5, 2025, Peru initiated its third sunset review investigation into the case. The Peruvian tax number of the product involved is 3826.00.00.00.
