The second round of negotiations on the China Vanuatu Enhanced Economic Partnership Agreement was held in Beijing from October 12th to 16th. China and Vanuatu have conducted in-depth consultations on areas such as goods trade, rules of origin, trade in services, intellectual property rights, and practical cooperation, and have made substantial progress.

In November 2025, the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Foreign Trade of Vanuatu signed the "Framework Agreement for Enhancing Economic Partnership" and initiated specific topic negotiations.
