Speed up customs clearance, lock 'fresh' machine, Yunling mushroom fragrance wafts overseas
On October 14th, in the cold storage of Lufeng Henglin Economic and Trade Co., Ltd., boxes of sorted fresh matsutake mushrooms were neatly stacked, and the Yunnan Central Customs officers under Kunming Customs conducted on-site inspections. After passing the inspection, this batch of wild matsutake mushrooms produced in the deep mountains of the plateau in Yunnan Province will be sent overseas. The entire time from picking to appearing in overseas markets does not exceed 24 hours.
The value of matsutake lies in its freshness, and the picking, post harvest processing, and cold chain transportation must be efficiently connected, "said Xie Guangbin, the company's head." The customs' appointment inspection mode is precisely aligned with our export plan to ensure a stable shipping rhythm and firmly maintain the freshness of matsutake
In response to the short shelf life and high transportation requirements of wild mushrooms, the Central Yunnan Customs has promoted pre supervision, implemented convenient models such as "advance declaration" and "appointment inspection", opened a "green channel" for exporting fresh and perishable agricultural and food products, efficiently issued plant quarantine certificates and certificates of origin, reduced waiting time for enterprises, and achieved accelerated and efficient pre export supervision.
While continuously improving the level of customs clearance convenience, the Central Yunnan Customs has simultaneously strengthened export compliance guidance, helped enterprises familiarize themselves with quarantine access, pesticide residue limits, packaging labeling and other regulations, guided enterprises to establish a full chain quality traceability system, and improved self inspection and self-control capabilities. Customs provides a "one enterprise, one policy" approach to strengthen the foundation of quality and safety from the source, focusing on declaration standards, rules of origin in free trade agreements, and technical trade measures.
Fresh mushroom exports are steadily improving, while enterprises are actively developing deep processing categories such as wild mushroom dried slices, seasoning sauces, and freeze-dried products. We will conduct targeted policy lectures based on the characteristics of new products and enterprise export planning, guiding enterprises to standardize raw material procurement, processing hygiene, and cold chain management, and helping enterprises enrich their product structure and expand diversified international markets, "said Yan Kang, head of the Supervision Department of the Central Yunnan Customs.
Data shows that in the first three quarters of 2026, Yunnan Customs supervised a total of 511.8 tons of exported wild mushrooms and their products, including fresh matsutake mushrooms, fresh morel mushrooms, and fresh truffles, with a value of 180 million yuan, an increase of 7.0% and 8.4% year-on-year, respectively. Yunnan wild mushrooms, with their rich variety and outstanding freshness, are continuously expanding overseas markets and becoming the "golden business card" of Yunnan's characteristic agricultural products.
