Airbus delivers first aircraft on new production line

On September 16th, the Tianjin Free Trade Zone Customs fully guaranteed the smooth delivery of the first aircraft of the second final assembly line project of Airbus (Tianjin) A320 series aircraft, which will be delivered to Eastern Airlines. This delivery marks an increase in production capacity for the Airbus Tianjin assembly line project.

To ensure the smooth delivery of the first aircraft for Airbus' second assembly line project in Tianjin, the Tianjin Free Trade Zone Customs has formed an Airbus project assistance team to follow up on the entire process of project production and operation. In response to business issues such as account book changes, aviation component circulation, and equipment entry caused by production line expansion, we will conduct policy lectures and provide business guidance to enterprises, optimize the comprehensive bonded zone supervision model, and establish a new model for the full lifecycle supervision of the aviation industry. Since the official start of the project, a total of about 20000 trains have been guaranteed for the entry and exit of materials and equipment for the Airbus second-line project construction.

The Tianjin Free Trade Zone Customs aims to achieve full process supervision and efficient services throughout the entire lifecycle of the aviation industry. Adhere to the "three early" work method, serve enterprises to intervene early, understand early, and solve problems early, establish "Party member enterprise liaison officers" for aviation enterprises, and always pay attention to the progress of leading enterprises and key projects. Guided by policies, we will optimize the management of key commodities, expand the scope of bonded training, strengthen cross regional cooperation and supervision, and promote the establishment of a full lifecycle supervision model for the aviation industry. Focusing on the development needs of the aviation industry, with a focus on core links such as bonded research and development, aviation manufacturing, and bonded maintenance, to ensure the resilience and safety of the aviation industry supply chain.

As of the end of August 2026, the Airbus Tianjin final assembly line project has delivered a total of 931 aircraft, covering models such as the Airbus A320 series, A330 series, and A350. (Su Yi School/Literature)
