Bijie Customs Helps' Sunshine Sweetheart 'Go Global
Recently, after inspection by the Bijie Customs under the jurisdiction of Guiyang Customs, batches of Weining apples with rosy color and crispy sweet flesh were packaged and shipped to the Southeast Asian market. As a local specialty agricultural product, Weining apples, known as the "sunshine sweetheart", have set sail for five consecutive years. According to statistics, Weining apples have declared 36 batches and 635 tons for export this season.
Weining is located in the Wumeng Mountain area, with an average elevation of 2200 meters. It is the largest, highest altitude, and most populous county in Guizhou. Weining apples have a rich fruit aroma, smooth surface, and juicy flesh. They are a local specialty agricultural product and have become a "wealth fruit" that drives people in mountainous areas to increase their income and become prosperous.
To help Weining apples obtain an export "pass", Bijie Customs officers went deep into apple orchards and packaging factories to provide registration guidance, improve the full chain traceability system of fruits, and build a solid foundation for the quality and safety of exported fruits. Centered around the requirements for overseas market access, we provide one-on-one explanations to enterprises on the quarantine access standards of target countries or regions, guiding them to standardize planting, sorting, and packaging to help them confidently explore international markets.
In response to the characteristics of short shelf life and high customs clearance requirements for fresh apples, Bijie Customs has launched a pilot reform of "batch inspection (quarantine)" for exported agricultural and food products, opened a "green channel" for local inspection, combined with "cloud issuance" of inspection and quarantine certificates and self-service printing of certificates of origin, compressed customs clearance time, and ensured that Weining apples can quickly grab "fresh" goods for export.
Bijie Customs has built a bridge connecting the "sweetheart" apples to the vast international market. In the future, Bijie Customs will optimize its services for enterprises, help Weining Plateau's characteristic agricultural products go global, empower local characteristic industries with practical work, and accelerate rural revitalization.
