It's another peak season for mooncake production, sales, and exports. A batch of classic double yellow white lotus Cantonese mooncakes produced by Dongguan Huamei Food Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huamei"), a well-established food enterprise in Dongguan, have been efficiently cleared under the supervision of Dongguan Customs under Huangpu Customs.

Huamei has been deeply involved in the food industry for many years, and the production techniques of Cantonese mooncakes have been selected as intangible cultural heritage. This year, the company launched more than 70 new mooncake products to enhance the competitiveness of Dongguan style mooncakes going global.

The standards for mooncake filling control, additives, and pre packaging labels vary among countries around the world, and the short shelf life of mooncakes has posed obstacles for companies to expand their products overseas.

Dongguan Customs has learned about the export issues of enterprises and quickly opened a "green channel" for customs clearance of holiday foods. Combined with convenient measures such as appointment inspection, the customs clearance time for holiday foods such as mooncakes has been reduced. At the same time, facing the pain point of difficulty in finding overseas regulations, we will establish a normalized channel for connecting customs and enterprises, collect and organize quarantine access policies, technical regulations, and trade dynamics from different countries and regions, help enterprises cope with technical trade measures, and facilitate the smooth export of products.

This year, our overseas mooncake orders have continued to rise, and we have also exported to Vietnam and North America for the first time, "said Ms. Zheng from Huamei's marketing department." Customs has provided channels for querying overseas regulations and policy guidance. Since the beginning of this year, we have exported a total of 16 tons of mooncakes

According to statistics, from January to August this year, the export value of mooncakes in Dongguan City was 2.958 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 52.6%.
