In the first 8 months, the export volume of new energy vehicles at Ningbo Port nearly doubled year-on-year

Yesterday, in Meishan Port Area of Zhoushan Port in Ningbo, trucks shuttled and cranes roared. Rows of brand new new energy vehicles lined up neatly on the dock, waiting for roll on/roll off loading. According to statistics from Ningbo Customs, in the first eight months of this year, Ningbo Port exported 301000 new energy vehicles with a value of 34.22 billion yuan, an increase of 99.1% and 95.5% respectively year-on-year, showing a good trend of increasing quantity and stabilizing price.
During the same period, the export value of automobiles at Ningbo Port reached 42.62 billion yuan, with new energy vehicles accounting for 80.3%. New energy vehicles have become the absolute mainstay of Ningbo's automobile exports.
From the perspective of export markets, Brazil, the European Union, and the United Arab Emirates rank among the top three, with export values of 8.32 billion yuan, 7.18 billion yuan, and 3.88 billion yuan, respectively. Among them, Brazil and the European Union performed particularly well, with export values increasing by 166% and 191.5% year-on-year, respectively.
During the same period, Ningbo Port's exports to the UK continued the momentum of the first half of the year, with the export value jumping to fourth place, reaching 3.76 billion yuan, a significant increase of 13.8 times year-on-year. The Central and Eastern European markets also showed strong growth, with exports of new energy vehicles worth 1.31 billion yuan to Central and Eastern European countries in the first eight months, a year-on-year increase of 360.3%, becoming a new growth highlight.
Our current destinations for vehicle exports are concentrated in the Middle East, Europe, and North Africa. In the first eight months of this year, we acted as an agent to export 58200 vehicles, with a particularly significant increase in exports of new energy vehicles, "said Chen Xue, head of Ningbo Xiaohe Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd.
