Trump threatens to ban the sale of Canadian Bombardier products in the United States

On the 7th, US President Trump posted on social media, threatening to ban Canadian aircraft manufacturer Bombardier from selling in the US unless the company begins production there.

Trump stated that Bombardier will no longer be allowed to sell in the United States as its products are 'not good enough'. According to him, over 50% of Bombardier's revenue comes from the United States, "relying on American buyers, American businesses, American airports, and American services to survive," while Canada blocks American banks and businesses and hinders Gulfstream Aerospace from doing business in Canada.

Trump said that this era of complete injustice and unfairness is over, and if Bombardier wants the American market, it must produce in the United States.

The White House has not yet issued an official announcement or provided more details on this matter.

At the end of January, Trump threatened to impose a 50% tariff on Canadian aircraft exports to the United States, citing Canada's failure to issue licenses for multiple American Gulfstream aircraft, and revoked certification for Bombardier's Global Express series aircraft and all aircraft manufactured in Canada.

The trade disputes between the United States and Canada have been ongoing recently. The Trump administration has imposed a 50% tariff on hundreds of specific goods imported from Canada, including red wine and cement, starting from August 22nd. The Canadian government subsequently announced the implementation of "equal and reciprocal" countermeasures against the United States, imposing tariffs on over 700 US goods worth approximately $20 billion starting from September 8th.
