The spokesperson of the Ministry of Commerce answered questions from reporters regarding the preliminary ruling of the anti-dumping investigation on imported dichlorosilane originating from Japan
Q: We have noticed that the website of the Ministry of Commerce has released a preliminary ruling announcement on the anti-dumping investigation of imported dichlorosilane originating from Japan. Can you introduce the relevant information?
Answer: In response to domestic industry applications, the Ministry of Commerce launched an anti-dumping investigation on imported dichlorosilane originating in Japan on January 7, 2026. After filing the case, the Ministry of Commerce conducted an investigation strictly in accordance with relevant Chinese laws and regulations and WTO rules. After investigation, preliminary evidence indicates that there is dumping of the investigated products imported, causing substantial damage to the relevant domestic industries, and there is a causal relationship between dumping and substantial damage. According to the relevant provisions of the Anti Dumping Regulations of the People's Republic of China, the Ministry of Commerce issued a preliminary ruling announcement on September 7, 2026, in accordance with the law, ruling that the dumping margin of the Japanese company was between 80.8% and 99.2%, and deciding to implement temporary anti-dumping measures.
China has always been cautious and restrained in using trade remedy measures, firmly upholding fairness and free trade.
