In the first seven months of this year, the export scale of packaging machinery in Fujian Province exceeded 1 billion yuan

With the upgrading of the global light industry and the continuous deepening of regional BRICS economic and trade cooperation, the expansion of manufacturing in emerging markets has driven the continuous release of packaging equipment demand. Fujian Province's packaging machinery continues to demonstrate competitiveness in the international market with its complete industrial supporting facilities, excellent quality, and high cost-effectiveness advantages, and its export scale maintains a steady growth trend.

According to statistics from Fuzhou Customs, in the first seven months of this year, the export of packaging machinery in Fujian Province reached 1.08 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.5%. Among them, the export of packaging machinery in Fujian Province was 1.04 billion yuan through general trade, an increase of 23.3%, accounting for 96.5% of the total export value of packaging machinery in the same period. It is the main way of exporting packaging machinery in Fujian Province.

Private enterprises are the main force in the export of packaging machinery in Fujian Province. In the first seven months of this year, private enterprises in Fujian Province exported packaging machinery worth 930 million yuan, an increase of 9.6%, accounting for 86.2% of the total export value of packaging machinery in the province during the same period. In addition, foreign-invested enterprises have seen a surge in export vitality, exporting packaging machinery worth 130 million yuan, an increase of 59.6%, accounting for 12.4%, effectively forming a good trend of private and foreign-funded enterprises collaborating to go global.

ASEAN is the main market for packaging machinery exports in Fujian Province. In the first seven months of this year, Fujian Province exported packaging machinery to ASEAN for 250 million yuan, accounting for 23.1% of the total export value of packaging machinery in Fujian Province during the same period. Nearly half of the exports were to Indonesia, with an export value of 110 million yuan, an increase of 41.7%, accounting for 44.6% of the total export value of packaging machinery from Fujian Province to ASEAN during the same period. In addition, India and Russia have shown good growth momentum, with Fujian Province exporting packaging machinery worth 180 million yuan and 60.411 million yuan respectively, an increase of 12.3% and 33% during the same period.
