On August 20th, a deep-sea fishing boat carrying nearly 200 tons of frozen tuna slowly docked at Rongcheng Shidao New Port. After the cabin door is opened, the tuna stored in the ultra-low temperature cold storage at minus 60 ℃ is seamlessly connected along the cold chain and quickly transported to the enterprise's deep processing workshop through cold chain logistics vehicles.
Rongcheng has 317 deep-sea fishing vessels, including tuna longline fishing boats and squid fishing boats, accounting for 65% of the province's total. Its offshore fishing volume accounts for more than 10% of the country's total, creating a complete industrial chain covering offshore fishing, return shipping, deep processing, trading, and storage. The annual processing volume of tuna accounts for 50% of the province's total, and the processing volume of squid accounts for more than 40% of the country's total.
Relying on its strong foundation in the offshore fishing industry, Shandong Lanrun Group Co., Ltd. has invested in the construction of a standardized squid processing park and the largest single tuna processing base in China, achieving full process ultra-low temperature cold chain control from offshore fishing to factory processing. Here, squid from South Pacific waters such as Peru and New Zealand are made into frozen prepared foods such as sticky squid rings and Tangyang squid whiskers; Tuna from the South Pacific and Indian Oceans is processed into deep processed foods such as sashimi and fish fillet, and after passing customs supervision, it is exported to more than 80 countries and regions around the world.
To ensure product quality and safety, Rongcheng Customs, a subsidiary of Qingdao Customs, targets the deep processing stage and takes the initiative to conduct targeted inspections on issues such as microorganisms, heavy metals, additives, and foreign factory inspection standards. The customs officers took the initiative to visit us and help us identify safety risks and hidden dangers in various aspects such as raw material procurement and acceptance, cross contamination of production tools and equipment, and temperature control during storage and transportation, continuously improving our self inspection and self-control capabilities, "said Zhang Junli, the manager of the company. Through continuous investigation and precise assistance, Rongcheng's tuna product exports have achieved "zero notifications" since 2026.
According to statistics, in the first seven months of this year, Rongcheng Customs supervised the export of squid, tuna and their products for about 480 million yuan, of which the export value of tuna and its products was nearly 100 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 45.6%.
