Ningbo new energy prototype vehicle 'flies' out of the country

Recently, a batch of new energy prototype vehicles from Geely Automobile Research Institute (Ningbo) Co., Ltd. were air freighted out of Ningbo Airport and transported overseas for performance testing and technical benchmarking. This batch of vehicles belongs to the research and development test sample vehicles, and the delivery time directly affects the pace of overseas technology iteration and new product promotion of the enterprise. The Ningbo Airport Customs, under the jurisdiction of Ningbo Customs, accurately meets the urgent needs of enterprises and follows up on customs clearance throughout the entire process. The vehicle takes less than half an hour from declaration to document release.
With the continuous growth of overseas research and development, technology benchmarking, and vehicle testing demand for domestic new energy vehicles, air transportation has become an important channel for enterprises to export prototype vehicles due to its advantages of fast delivery and short turnover. The export of new energy vehicles by air transportation has the characteristics of high value of goods, strict delivery time, and high requirements for air transportation standards, which puts higher demands on port clearance guarantee.
In response to the pain points of airport vehicle exports, Ningbo Airport Customs has tailored a customs clearance guarantee plan, promoted convenient measures such as "early declaration", appointment inspection, and rapid release, opened a "green channel" for the export of new energy vehicles, implemented an enterprise exclusive docking mode, and provided guidance on declaration standards and air shipment supervision requirements in advance to maximize customs clearance efficiency and reduce enterprise time and logistics costs.
Data shows that in the first seven months of this year, the cumulative number of new energy vehicles declared for export at Ningbo Airport Customs exceeded 100, with export destinations covering multiple countries and regions such as Europe and North America.
