Fujian produced pumps accelerate their global expansion

Fujian Province has a rich variety of pump products with strong adaptability, widely used in agricultural irrigation, engineering construction and other fields, continuously meeting diversified overseas needs, and becoming one of the characteristic categories in Fujian Province's electromechanical product exports. According to statistics from Fuzhou Customs, in the first seven months of this year, Fujian Province's pump exports amounted to 1.55 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.9%.

Fujian Province's pump exports are flourishing in both traditional and emerging markets. In the first seven months of this year, Fujian Province exported pumps worth 190 million yuan to the United States and 170 million yuan to the European Union, an increase of 55.8% and 2.2% respectively, accounting for 12.1% and 11.2% of Fujian Province's total pump exports during the same period; In addition, exports to emerging markets such as ASEAN amounted to 420 million yuan, an increase of 11.1%, accounting for 27.3%.

Fujian Province's pump exports are mainly in general trade, accounting for over 90%. In the first seven months, Fujian Province exported pumps worth 1.43 billion yuan through general trade, an increase of 13.7%, accounting for 92.5% of the total export value of pump products in Fujian Province during the same period. The export growth of processing trade and bonded logistics is good, with an increase of 176.3% and 13.4% respectively during the same period.

Private, foreign-invested, and state-owned enterprises are working together. In the first seven months, private enterprises in Fujian Province exported pumps worth 1.2 billion yuan, an increase of 12.3%, accounting for 77.3% of the total export value of pump products in Fujian Province during the same period. Foreign investment and state-owned enterprises also performed well, exporting pumps worth 190 million and 160 million yuan respectively during the same period, an increase of 19.7% and 20.1%, accounting for 12.4% and 10.2%, respectively.

To assist in the export of pump products from Fujian Province, Fuzhou Customs continues to optimize customs clearance services, guiding enterprises to make good use of convenient measures such as advance declaration, appointment inspection, and local inspection, and helping enterprises compress customs clearance time and reduce logistics costs.
