Shaanxi winter jujube exports to Australia for the first time

On July 21st, it was learned from Xi'an Customs that after inspection and release by Weinan Customs under Xi'an Customs, 5.8 tons of Dali winter jujube exported by Shaanxi Datang Modern Agriculture Co., Ltd. were successfully shipped to Australia, achieving a breakthrough of zero exports of Shaanxi winter jujube to Australia.
Excellent quality is the confidence of Dali Dongzao to open the door to the Australian market. Dali County is located in the alluvial plain where the Yellow River, Luo River, and Wei River meet. The winter jujube grown here has thin and crispy skin, rich and juicy sweetness, with a single fruit weight of over 20 grams and a sweetness of up to 28 degrees. Meanwhile, Dali County is located in a non epidemic area for fruit flies north of 33 degrees north latitude recognized by the Australian side, and exports do not require up to 14 days of cold treatment, maximizing the preservation of fresh fruit flavor. At present, the winter jujube planting area in Dali County has reached 420000 mu, with an annual output of over 700000 tons and a total industry chain output value exceeding 10 billion yuan. It is a key characteristic pillar industry for enriching the people cultivated in Shaanxi Province.
The Australian market has a high threshold, but the quality of our winter jujubes can withstand inspection, "said Tian Xueping, the head of Shaanxi Datang Modern Agriculture Co., Ltd." This successful export to Australia means that the company has won another high-end market, which gives us great confidence. In the future, we will accelerate our multi country layout to make Dali winter jujubes sell further
During the export process, Weinan Customs guided enterprises to establish a disease and pest monitoring system in accordance with the Australian admission requirements, improve the product source traceability system, and conduct on-site quarantine in packaging factories, strictly verify document information and packaging labeling, conduct random inspections and identify disease and pest risks in accordance with regulations, and ensure that winter jujube certificates are consistent and quality is controllable. In response to the short shelf life of fresh jujubes, Weinan Customs has opened a green channel for local inspection of fresh and perishable agricultural and food products. After declaration, inspections will be conducted on the same day, relying on the "cloud issuance" mode of inspection and quarantine certificates, and certificates will be issued immediately, achieving simultaneous inspection and release. Since the beginning of this year, Weinan Customs has supervised the export of 334 tons of winter jujubes, which have been exported to countries such as Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, and Canada.
Next, we will continue to benchmark international high-end agricultural product access standards, strengthen the full chain quality control of fruits from planting to export, optimize local inspection and service measures, and enable more high-quality agricultural products from Shaanxi to go global, "said the person in charge of Weinan Customs.
