Shanghai Songjiang Airlines' pre cargo terminal exports goods worth over 300 million yuan
Recently, it was learned from Shanghai Customs that a batch of cross-border e-commerce products with a declared product name of daily necessities and a value of 4.02 million yuan were transported to Pudong International Airport for shipment to Europe after completing customs clearance, airport security checks, and airline consolidation and palletizing procedures at Songjiang Airlines' pre cargo terminal. Since its official operation on November 13, 2025, this cross-border logistics "highway" that opens at the doorstep of enterprises has delivered an impressive semi annual report: as of the end of May this year, Songjiang Airlines' pre cargo terminal has exported a total of 4772 tons of goods with a value of 330 million yuan, and over 4 million cross-border e-commerce packages have reached the global market from here.
The reporter learned that cross-border e-commerce retail air freight exports often go through multiple transfers, loading and unloading, and high logistics costs due to the large number of shipment batches, large order volumes, and complex product categories. Nowadays, Songjiang Airlines' front-end cargo terminal integrates traditional operational processes, presenting a well-organized and efficient picture: enterprises achieve "on-demand inspection" through "online booking", unloading cross-border e-commerce goods in batches to the conveyor belt, passing through the CT machine in an orderly manner, seamlessly carrying out security checks, palletizing and other subsequent operations, and can be directly loaded and shipped to Pudong Airport. Under the same roof at the doorstep, goods can be declared, inspected, checked, and released in one stop.
We embed customs supervision into the warehousing and logistics operations of enterprises, "said Chen Hongping, head of the Material Control and Inspection Department of Songjiang Customs under Shanghai Customs. With the assistance of" non-invasive "intelligent inspection equipment, the vast majority of goods can be cleared without feeling. From running back and forth between Songjiang and Pudong airports in the past, to now having "one-stop clearance" at the front loading station, the logistics time for exporting cross-border e-commerce goods through the front loading station has been reduced by an average of 30%.
