The Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Strengthening Cooperation and Mutual Understanding in the Context of Third Country Trade Measures

Recently, Chinese Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao and Cambodian Minister of Commerce Zhan Nimo signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Strengthening Cooperation and Mutual Understanding in the Context of Third Country Trade Measures.

Both sides agree to continue open and constructive dialogue on issues of common concern related to trade measures with third countries. Both sides will strengthen communication, enhance understanding, and increase transparency in interpreting and implementing measures that may affect bilateral economic and trade relations.

The Cambodian side declares that its trade arrangements with third parties will not affect any agreements signed with China, nor will they harm China's interests. Cambodia has not taken, nor will it take, or implement any discriminatory measures against or substantially against China that hinder economic and trade cooperation between China and ASEAN.

The signing of the memorandum reflects the long-standing friendship, comprehensive strategic partnership, and profound and lasting political, economic, and cultural ties between China and Cambodia. This will help both sides further strengthen cooperation and mutual understanding, and is of great significance for both sides to build a new era all-weather China Cambodia community of shared future on the basis of respecting sovereignty, mutual trust, and win-win cooperation.
