According to statistics from Cixi Customs, the import and export volume of Cixi City reached a historical high of 48.46 billion yuan in the first half of 2026, with a year-on-year increase of 0.6%.
Among them, exports amounted to 46.16 billion yuan, an increase of 0.6%; Imports amounted to 2.3 billion yuan, an increase of 0.7%. In June, the import and export of Cixi City reached 9.57 billion yuan, an increase of 19.1%. Among them, exports amounted to 9.21 billion yuan, an increase of 19.6%; Imports amounted to 360 million yuan, an increase of 6.4%.
Market diversification is steadily advancing
The EU and ASEAN continue to maintain their major market positions, with exports of 12.67 billion yuan and 4.36 billion yuan respectively in the first half of the year, accounting for 36.9% of the total export value of Cixi City during the same period. In emerging markets, exports to countries jointly building the "the Belt and Road", other RCEP member countries and Africa in the first half of the year were 22.39 billion yuan, 8.09 billion yuan and 3.43 billion yuan, up 1.5%, 3.3% and 23.1% respectively.
More than 80% of the export value of mechanical and electrical products
In the first half of the year, Cixi City exported 38.12 billion yuan worth of mechanical and electrical products, an increase of 0.9%, accounting for 82.6% of Cixi's total export value. Among them, the export of household appliances, electrical equipment, and mechanical basic components amounted to 14.44 billion yuan, 5.28 billion yuan, and 2.33 billion yuan, respectively. Electric fans, refrigerators, and irons in household appliances have grown rapidly, with growth rates of 7.7%, 5.7%, and 4.6%, respectively. In addition, the export of "new three types" products reached 1.01 billion yuan, an increase of 33.3%.
The vitality of foreign trade entities is further enhanced
In the first half of the year, Cixi City had 3244 import and export performance enterprises, an increase of 7.8%, including 3070 export performance enterprises. During the same period, 78 enterprises had an export value exceeding 100 million yuan, with a total export value of 21.76 billion yuan, accounting for 47.1% of the city's total export value. 21 AEO enterprises exported a total of 9.5 billion yuan, contributing 20.6% of the city's export value with a proportion of 0.68% of the total number of enterprises with export performance.
The main export method is general trade
In the first half of the year, Cixi City exported 42.86 billion yuan through general trade, an increase of 1.3%, accounting for 92.9% of Cixi City's total export value during the same period, an increase of 0.7 percentage points compared to last year. During the same period, exports through processing trade amounted to 3.24 billion yuan, a decrease of 9.1%, accounting for 7% of the total export value of Cixi City during the same period.
