On the morning of July 8, "Da Fei San Diego", loaded with 2265 TEUs of multi-purpose vehicles, solar panels and other goods, slowly left Ningbo Zhoushan Port Jintang Port Yongzhou Container Terminal and headed for South Africa, Angola and other countries to jointly build the "the Belt and Road". Data shows that in the first half of the year, Ningbo Zhoushan Port Jintang Port Area imported and exported 1.4951 million TEUs of containers, setting a new historical high for the same period and increasing by 23.4% year-on-year.
Since the beginning of this year, the export of goods from Jintang Port has been steadily improving, with mechanical and electrical products being the main export force, and "new three types" becoming export highlights. While the export structure continues to optimize, the "friend circle" in the port area continues to expand. In the first half of the year, the port area added 17 new foreign trade routes to regions such as the Red Sea and Africa. Currently, these routes cover more than 60 major ports in 33 countries and regions. In the first half of the year, new shipping routes were intensively opened, and port units such as Zhoushan Customs contacted us in advance to formulate regulatory plans based on the characteristics of the routes. Efficient customs clearance services provided a solid guarantee for the opening of new shipping routes, "said Wang Sheng, business manager of Zhoushan Xinggang International Ship Agency Co., Ltd.
With the increasing density of foreign trade routes, the throughput and unloading capacity of ports continue to rise. Since the beginning of this year, 10 "giant" ships have docked at ports and completed loading and unloading operations exceeding 10000 TEUs, breaking the annual record for loading and unloading operations exceeding 10000 TEUs at the port.
In order to continuously release the port's production capacity, 8 new non cantilever automated track cranes have been added this year, and the automation ratio of large equipment has reached 72.7%, further enhancing the port's throughput capacity and overall competitiveness, "said Chen Bingyu, Assistant Manager of the Operations Department of Zhoushan Yongzhou Container Terminal Co., Ltd.
Faced with the high growth of business volume, Zhoushan Customs actively promotes the deep integration of smart customs and smart ports, with technology empowerment as the core, seamlessly embedding customs intelligent supervision into the entire process of terminal production operations, creating an integrated service channel for AEO enterprises, and improving the efficiency of goods export by more than 90% and reducing terminal operation time by nearly 20% through convenient measures such as prioritizing customs clearance procedures and inspections. At the same time, we will actively carry out pilot projects for the supervision of sea rail intermodal transportation and water water intermodal transportation for import and export goods, promote the implementation of intelligent locks for highway transit safety, ensure fast entry and exit, fast inspection and release of goods, and create efficient overseas channels for foreign trade enterprises.
