Ministry of Foreign Affairs: We hope that the European side and the Chinese side will work together to promote economic and trade cooperation

Beijing, June 8 (Xinhua) -- Regarding the EU's recent push for relevant countries to reduce their so-called "dependence on China", Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said in a regular press conference on June 8 that China has repeatedly stated that the deep integration and interdependence between China and Europe in the industrial and supply chains are the result of economic globalization and market forces, and are in line with the interests of both sides' enterprises. The economic and trade relations between China and Europe are not a zero sum game where you lose and I win. They can fully achieve mutual benefits and win-win outcomes. The Chinese side has an open and positive attitude towards resolving the economic and trade differences between China and Europe. We hope that the European side and the Chinese side will work together to solve problems through dialogue and consultation, and promote China EU economic and trade cooperation to better benefit both sides' enterprises and people.
