Dabie Mountain eggs float across the sea to Nauru
The reporter recently learned that after more than 20 days of sea transportation, a batch of eggs departing from Zhongxin Village, Baitafan Town, Jinzhai County have arrived in Nauru, an island country in Oceania, and have been delivered to the local people's tables - this is the first time that Lu'an characteristic poultry eggs have gone abroad.
In the central village of Baitafan Town, between the green mountains, stands a highly modern egg chicken farm. In the smart breeding chicken coop of Mingkang Huizhi Mu (Jinzhai) Ecological Agriculture Co., Ltd., laying hens peck at the feed sent on the assembly line. The fully automatic sorting and cleaning equipment classifies and screens the eggs, and workers package eggs of different specifications.
The first batch of 350 boxes of 7-ton ecological eggs exported to Nauru will be transported via cold chain throughout the entire process. Our customers from Nauru have given us feedback that we will export 3 batches of eggs to Nauru every month in the future, "said Feng Cheng, the general manager of the company.
Mingkang Huizhi Mu (Jinzhai) Company is one of the largest poultry and egg production enterprises in Lu'an City, with 6 smart breeding chicken houses and a total of 600000 laying hens. It can produce 570000 eggs per day. Feng Cheng told reporters that the company's main customers are large supermarkets and catering enterprises in the Yangtze River Delta region. However, in recent years, the price of eggs in China has fluctuated greatly, and competition is fierce. The company has turned its attention to overseas markets.
The first batch of eggs exported to Nauru are priced about 25% higher than the domestic market. Although the overseas market has considerable profits, when it comes to exports, Mingkang Huizhi Mu (Jinzhai) Company is still a "novice". Feng Cheng admitted that before this, the company knew very little about the materials and procedures required for export. Thanks to the strong assistance of Lu'an Customs, the entire process from qualification filing, export declaration, appointment inspection to certificate release has been guided, "said Feng Cheng.
This is the first export of finished Dabie Mountain poultry eggs, and we attach great importance to it, "Ding Wei, Deputy Director of Lu'an Customs, told reporters. In order to help expand the international sales of Dabie Mountain eggs, Lu'an Customs has launched a" one-on-one "full process assistance measure. Even before the shipment, the customs established a specialized team to guide enterprises in improving their production quality management system step by step. They proactively contacted relevant departments to fill in the missing materials and certificates for enterprises to apply for import and export licenses.
Fresh eggs have a short shelf life and are easily damaged, requiring extremely high customs clearance time. Ding Wei told reporters that normal process enterprises need to send their products to customs in advance for sampling inspection. However, considering the characteristics of fresh eggs, Lu'an Customs has specially opened a "green channel" for the export of fresh agricultural products, implementing one-stop services such as appointment inspection, immediate reporting and inspection, and fast certificate issuance, greatly reducing the clearance time.
The strong assistance from the customs department has given us confidence in exporting our products overseas. Exporting eggs to Nauru is just the first step in exporting Jinzhai eggs overseas. With this valuable experience, we hope to sell our eggs to more Oceania countries such as Australia and New Zealand in the future, "said Feng Cheng. (Reporter Yuan Ye)
