Huangpu Global Supply Chain Center has been in operation for two years, with import and export value exceeding 6.6 billion yuan
In the early morning, a batch of electronic components landed at Hong Kong International Airport and were directly loaded onto trucks for entry through land ports, arriving at the Huangpu Global Supply Chain Center located at the Guangzhou Development Zone Vehicle Inspection Yard. Under the supervision of Luogang Customs under Huangpu Customs, the goods completed the entire process from unloading, tallying, declaration, inspection to release in just one hour, and were quickly transported to the production line of the enterprise.
The Huangpu Global Supply Chain Center has achieved maximum integration of regulatory requirements into the entire chain of enterprise production and operation, as well as international logistics: enterprises do not need to stay overseas, and can directly transport goods to the center with the information on the import manifest. Customs will deeply integrate inspection, release and other regulatory requirements with logistics operations, achieving ubiquitous and uninterrupted supervision through port local coordination and embedded supervision.
According to statistics, since the launch of the Huangpu Global Supply Chain Center on May 31, 2024, Huangpu Customs has supervised over 1400 cross-border vehicles with a total value of 6.6 billion yuan, of which high-end precision electronic components account for over 80%, providing strong support for the stable and smooth supply chain of the electronic information industry.
Through the reform of the customs' "logistics chain reengineering+digital supervision" model, the logistics costs of enterprises have been significantly reduced. Tian Fang, manager of the logistics department of Jabil Electronics (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd., said: "This model has improved the problem of data deviation of overseas tally, pushed the storage cost down by 80%, reduced the labor cost of tally by 66%, and reduced the overall cross-border logistics time by more than half."
Huangpu Customs integrates intelligent checkpoint system, logistics chain traceability platform, business management system, and panoramic monitoring module to build a multi-dimensional intelligent supervision system, allowing more law-abiding enterprises to enjoy customs clearance convenience. In June 2025, the pilot project will expand to Jabil Precision, further accelerating the group operation and expansion process of the center. Tian Fang said, "With significant advantages in cost and timeliness, Jiepu Electronics has switched nearly 80% of its import business to operate under this supply chain model
Customs continues to expand its global supply chain center business "circle of friends", providing diversified logistics solutions by sea, land, and air for more enterprises in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. Its service enterprises have expanded to 13 companies including JD Logistics and Huangpu Kaiyun, and the types of goods have extended from electronic components to industrial intermediate goods, shoes, bags, and consumer goods. The global supply chain center has achieved diversified expansion from "a lone star" to "a garden full of spring colors". (Pu Xuan/Text)
