The Ministry of Foreign Affairs hopes that the European side will objectively and rationally view the economic and trade relations between China and Europe

Beijing, June 4 (Xinhua) -- Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning responded to questions about China Europe economic and trade relations at a regular press conference on June 4, saying that trade protectionism violates economic laws and harms others without benefiting oneself. We hope that the European side will objectively and rationally view the economic and trade relations between China and Europe, work together with the Chinese side to compress the list of issues, expand the cooperation cake, and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.

Mao Ning stated that China Europe economic and trade cooperation stems from common interests and is essentially the result of the combined effects of comparative advantages and market competition. Complementary advantages are not risks, and the integration of interests is not a threat. More and more European companies are choosing to deeply cultivate in China and expand their business in China, which itself is the most powerful response to the so-called "risk reduction".
