On the occasion of the 139th Canton Fair, cross-border consumption in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area has welcomed new benefits. On April 28th, the Guangzhou Pazhou Hong Kong Macau Passenger Transport Port Exit Duty Free Store (hereinafter referred to as the "Guangzhou Pazhou Port Duty Free Store") officially opened, providing a one-stop service of "sea sea intermodal transportation+duty-free shopping" for outbound passengers passing through the Pazhou Port.

The straight-line distance between Guangzhou Pazhou Hong Kong Macau Passenger Transport Port and the Canton Fair Complex is only about 100 meters. The exit duty-free shop is located on the second floor of the Pazhou Port Joint Inspection Building's exit waiting hall, providing convenient and high-quality duty-free shopping services for outbound passengers. After completing the exit procedures, passengers can directly go to the shopping area.

The Guangzhou Convention and Exhibition Center Customs has tailored a specialized supervision plan based on the characteristics of concentrated merchants, dense cross-border passenger flow, and high customs clearance efficiency of the Pazhou Port Canton Fair, promoting data interconnection between duty-free shops and duty-free goods supervision application systems. At the same time, we will promote the deep integration of tax-free shopping services with existing convenient measures such as "sea sea intermodal transportation", departure tax refund, and convenient customs clearance at ports, and promote the "one package, one code" model for departure tax refund to be implemented as soon as possible. Customs will use sealed packaging and QR codes at the exit supervision site to achieve fast inspection without unpacking packages.

Before the opening of the duty-free shop, the customs strictly implemented the closed-loop supervision requirements for the entire chain of duty-free goods. Through measures such as warehouse verification, ledger management, and dynamic inspections, they ensured that the source of duty-free goods was compliant, storage was standardized, and management was orderly. As of now, the Guangzhou Convention and Exhibition Center Customs has efficiently completed the transfer and warehousing supervision of more than 2830 duty-free items.

The Guangzhou Convention and Exhibition Center Customs will leverage the advantages of the Guangzhou Convention and Exhibition Core Area, actively connect with the needs of international exhibitions such as the Canton Fair, and continuously enrich the port service functions. At the same time, we will continue to strengthen full chain supervision and services, fully ensure the healthy development of the duty-free market at ports, and promote the construction of Guangzhou as an international consumption center city and a consumption hub in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area.
