Iran suspends exports of some steel products
Tehran, April 27th (Xinhua) -- Iran's trade promotion organization issued a statement on the 27th saying that Iran has suspended the export of some steel products such as steel billets and plates, and the export ban will continue until May 30th.
The statement said that according to the resolution passed by the Iranian Ministry of Industry, Mines and Trade and the Supreme National Security Council, Iran has implemented this export ban, which may be extended.
Two large steel plants located in Isfahan Province in central Iran and Khuzestan Province in southwestern Iran were recently attacked by the United States and Israel, resulting in partial shutdown of the factories.
Affected by the war, Iran has banned the sale of some chemicals, petrochemical products, and polymer products overseas.
