Tajikistan President Rahmon stated at the symposium that Tajikistan has abundant hydropower, mineral resources, and beautiful natural scenery. Nowadays, it attaches great importance to digital construction and artificial intelligence development. He hopes that while consolidating traditional friendship, the two countries can further strengthen practical cooperation in areas such as connectivity, economic and trade investment, and energy development, and jointly open up a better new prospect for bilateral relations.
In recent years, China Tajikistan economic and trade cooperation has developed rapidly, and China has become Tajikistan's largest trading partner and the largest source of foreign investment. In 2025, the import and export of Zhongta reached 30.858 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.5%. In the first quarter of this year, economic and trade development continued to maintain a good momentum, with bilateral trade volume reaching 7.15 billion yuan, an increase of 17.1%. More than 700 Chinese funded enterprises have invested in Tajikistan.
As one of the largest hydropower stations in Central Asia, the Nurek hydropower station has played an important role in the operation of the Tajik national economy. At present, China Power Construction is carrying out technical maintenance and defect elimination work for the hydropower station, which is expected to be completed in August this year.

In February of this year, the first multimodal transport pilot container train from China to Tajikistan successfully arrived in Dushanbe, providing support for Tajikistan's transition from a "landlocked country" to a "land linked country".
Lu Tao, Deputy General Manager of the North China Marketing Center of the Marketing Committee of China Southern Airlines, who attended the symposium, introduced that China Southern Airlines has opened routes from Beijing Daxing, Xi'an, Urumqi to Dushanbe, and has achieved full navigation to all five Central Asian countries. We will continue to optimize the Central Asian air route network and build more 'air bridges' for bilateral economic and trade exchanges and cultural exchanges
Agriculture is one of Tajikistan's main industries, and its exported specialty agricultural products such as grapes, black cherries, and dried fruits are highly favored by Chinese consumers. Shaanxi Apple Group Co., Ltd., which is engaged in the full industry chain cooperation of apple and other agricultural products cultivation, trade, logistics, etc., is conducting tower trials of planting "Baishui series" apple varieties and carrying out cooperation in modernizing orchards and constructing supporting facilities.
