Yongpai: a year-on-year increase of 1.5 times! In the first quarter, Ningbo purchased a large amount of agricultural products from Central and Eastern Europe

In the first quarter of this year, the import and export volume between Ningbo and Central and Eastern European countries reached 14.5 billion yuan. Ningbo Customs has taken multiple measures to promote economic and trade cooperation and inject development momentum.
Recently, Ningbo Customs released the latest "report card" of economic and trade exchanges between Ningbo and Central and Eastern European countries. According to Ningbo Customs statistics, in the first quarter of this year, the import and export volume between Ningbo and Central and Eastern European countries reached 14.5 billion yuan, an increase of 8% compared to the previous quarter. Among them, exports amounted to 13.1 billion yuan and imports amounted to 1.4 billion yuan.
As the "bridgehead" of the China Central and Eastern European Countries Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Zone, Ningbo is deepening its economic and trade exchanges with Central and Eastern European countries with more efficient logistics clearance, more favorable tariff policies, and more accurate information services.
On the computer screen of Chen Yun, the customs contact person of Ningbo Aoyunde Electric Appliance Co., Ltd., there is an import document information for carbon brush products - this batch of goods is sent from Hungary to China and will be used for the production of automotive parts. After only a few minutes, the system received a prompt of 'released'.
Thanks to the 'early declaration' mode of the customs, the container ship carrying this batch of goods is still on the sea surface, and we have completed the import declaration. This way, as soon as the goods dock, they can be immediately sent to the production line without delaying the construction period, "Chen Yun sighed. The" green channel "opened by Ningbo Customs allows foreign trade enterprises to enjoy convenience.
At the same time, tariff preferences are another powerful engine driving bilateral trade. Since the implementation of the China Serbia Free Trade Agreement, Ningbo enterprises have been making full use of policy dividends and working together with "Serbia Railways" to achieve business growth. In the first quarter of this year, Ningbo Customs issued a total of 831 certificates of origin under the China Serbia Free Trade Agreement, involving goods worth 167 million yuan, an increase of 42.05% and 14.15% year-on-year, respectively.
Our main product is lawn mowers, and we have long-term stable customers in Serbia. By applying for a certificate of origin, our exported products can enjoy a 2 percentage point tax reduction discount, significantly improving product competitiveness. In the first quarter of this year, the company's export value to Serbia was nearly 6 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of about 20%, "said a person in charge of a machinery limited company in Ningbo.
While export enterprises are experiencing trade facilitation, importers in Ningbo are also expanding their "circle of friends". In the first quarter of this year, Ningbo imported agricultural products from Central and Eastern European countries worth 67 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.5 times. From Polish grains to Greek saffron, from Serbian honey to Bulgarian rose essential oil... More and more authentic flavors from Central and Eastern Europe are making their way onto the dining tables of Chinese consumers.
In order to "introduce" more characteristic agricultural and food products from Central and Eastern Europe, Ningbo Customs has released 397 customs clearance guidelines and 1122 digital dynamic visualization indicators related to the admission of Central and Eastern European agricultural and food products, providing reference for enterprise imports. At the same time, Ningbo Customs has also established an application scenario for "Access Information Inquiry of Agricultural and Food Products Exported from Central and Eastern European Countries to China", which facilitates enterprises to "one-stop" search for access information and production information of products such as Polish wheat flour and canned salmon salad.
Chen Yi, the General Manager of Ningbo Dijia Weida Trading Co., Ltd., was deeply touched by this. She has been engaged in Central and Eastern European trade for more than ten years, and has imported over 160 types of Central and Eastern European products. "Every time I want to import a new product, I browse the application scenario developed by Ningbo Customs for querying the access information of agricultural and food products exported from Central and Eastern European countries to China, which helps me know in advance which products can be imported with confidence
From "early declaration" to shorten customs clearance time, to certificate of origin to reduce trade costs, and to digital information services to break down information barriers... Ningbo Customs is injecting a continuous stream of momentum into economic and trade cooperation between Ningbo and Central and Eastern European countries through a series of innovative measures.
