Among them, exports amounted to 724.03 billion yuan, an increase of 24.3%; Imports amounted to 592.59 billion yuan, an increase of 47.2%. In March, Shenzhen's imports and exports amounted to 492.84 billion yuan, an increase of 28.1%. Among them, exports amounted to 229.71 billion yuan, an increase of 5.5%; Imports amounted to 263.13 billion yuan, an increase of 57.6%. The specific situation is as follows:
Firstly, general trade accounts for over half of the total, while bonded logistics and processing trade have both grown by over 20%. In the first quarter, Shenzhen imported and exported 697.43 billion yuan through general trade, an increase of 37.3%, accounting for 53.0% of the total import and export value of Shenzhen during the same period. During the same period, the import and export of bonded logistics reached 372.96 billion yuan, an increase of 28.5%, accounting for 28.3%; The import and export of processing trade reached 241.4 billion yuan, an increase of 33.8%, accounting for 18.3%.
Secondly, private enterprises account for over 70% of imports and exports, while foreign-invested enterprises continue to grow in imports and exports. In the first quarter, the import and export of private enterprises in Shenzhen reached 959.23 billion yuan, an increase of 42.4%, accounting for 72.9%. During the same period, the import and export of foreign-invested enterprises reached 332.97 billion yuan, an increase of 25.0%, accounting for 25.3%.
Thirdly, the import and export of major trading partners have maintained growth. In the first quarter, Hong Kong, ASEAN, and the European Union were the top three trading partners of Shenzhen. Among them, imports and exports to Hong Kong amounted to 257.27 billion yuan, an increase of 53.7%; Imports and exports to ASEAN and the European Union amounted to 194.61 billion yuan and 124.91 billion yuan, respectively, with an increase of 24.4% and 29.4%. Over the same period, imports and exports to countries jointly building the "the Belt and Road" reached 431.1 billion yuan, up 23.9%; Imports and exports to other RCEP member countries amounted to 370.96 billion yuan, an increase of 42.3%.
Fourthly, in terms of exports, mechanical and electrical products such as electronic components and "new three types" products have maintained rapid growth. In the first quarter, Shenzhen exported mechanical and electrical products worth 538.91 billion yuan, an increase of 22.4%, accounting for 74.4% of Shenzhen's total export value during the same period. Among them, the export of electronic components was 103.82 billion yuan, an increase of 43.7%; The export of computers and their components reached 81.09 billion yuan, an increase of 9.4%; The total export of "new three types" products was 32.46 billion yuan, an increase of 37.2%; The export of audio and video equipment and its components reached 22.08 billion yuan, an increase of 20.8%. During the same period, the export of labor-intensive products reached 72.56 billion yuan, an increase of 22.7%, accounting for 10%. In terms of imports, electronic intermediate products such as integrated circuits and computer components are growing rapidly. In the first quarter, Shenzhen imported mechanical and electrical products worth 435.18 billion yuan, an increase of 30.8%, accounting for 73.4% of the total import value of Shenzhen during the same period.
