Guizhou ecological fish swim out of the mountains and leap towards the world

According to statistics from Guiyang Customs, in the first quarter of this year, fresh fish exports amounted to 1015.4 tons with a value of 30.898 million yuan, an increase of 340.1% and 190.5% year-on-year, respectively. The export scale and growth rate both reached a new historical high for the same period.

A series of lively and jumping Guizhou ecological fish are "swimming" from deep mountains and valleys to the world's dining tables.

Industrial prosperity leads to strong exports, and policy optimization leads to sufficient momentum. In terms of supporting industrial development, multiple departments such as customs, agriculture and rural areas, commerce, and border management empower industry organizations to jointly promote the development of a sturgeon export integrity and self-discipline convention by industry associations, and promote the healthy and orderly development of sturgeon exports. In the production process, customs and agricultural and rural departments deepen their collaborative linkage, strengthen information sharing, enhance risk monitoring and early warning in the breeding process, timely report the dynamic technical trade measures of export destinations to local governments and enterprises, guide enterprises to standardize drug use, improve quality and safety systems, and ensure the quality of live fish from the source. In export clearance, the customs has opened up a "green channel" for enterprises to export fresh aquatic products, implemented a "center+on-site" business management model, promoted convenient measures such as "appointment inspection+priority certificate issuance" and "cloud issuance" of inspection and quarantine certificates, significantly improving the efficiency of fresh aquatic product clearance.

Thanks to the dual empowerment of policies and services, Guizhou's ecological fishery exports have achieved both quantity and quality improvement. In addition to the sturgeon, a unique advantage variety, several other species such as eel, black fish, grass carp, and crucian carp have also achieved their first export.

Guiyang Customs and Guizhou Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs will continue to deepen their work linkage, further optimize the regulatory service mode, strengthen guidance services for aquaculture technology, support Guizhou's ecological fishery to expand international markets, enhance product added value, promote the healthy and orderly development of ecological fishery export trade, and help more "Guizhou fish" swim from deep mountains to the five continents and four seas, contributing to the comprehensive revitalization of rural areas and the construction of a new highland of inland open economy.
