In the first quarter of 2026, Gansu (Wuwei) International Land Port will operate 10 international freight trains, shipping 1009 TEUs of containers with a weight of 11000 tons and a value of 123 million yuan. The number of train services has reached the annual level of 2025, achieving a simultaneous improvement in both quantity and quality.
Wuwei, located at the eastern end of the Hexi Corridor and an important node of the Lanxin Railway, is an important hub on the Silk Road Economic Belt. Relying on the Wuwei South Railway Freight Yard and Wuwei Bonded Logistics Center, the location advantage of Gansu (Wuwei) International Land Port is increasingly prominent, and it is accelerating to become an important gateway for Gansu's westward opening.
Cao Ke, the person in charge of international train operations, said, "The customs appointment clearance is very timely. The customs clearance is completed in one stop at the Wuwei Bonded Logistics Center, and the goods are inspected and released as soon as they are qualified, reducing logistics costs and improving turnover efficiency
Zhao Shengrong, Deputy Director of the Wuwei International Land Port Management Committee, introduced that under the one-on-one guidance of Jinchang Customs, local goods have taken the "Tianma" train to open up independent export logistics channels.
To ensure the smooth operation of international trains, Jinchang Customs continues to implement a "7 × 24" 24-hour appointment clearance system, with dedicated personnel following up on the entire process from policy consultation, declaration guidance to inspection and release. At the same time, actively connect with train operation enterprises, carry out "door-to-door policy delivery" services, and tailor "one enterprise, one policy" assistance plans.
As of now, the land port channel network has covered six major channels including China Europe and Central Asia, reaching 46 cities and regions in 22 countries. (Sun Yajie/Text)
