On March 23rd, the reporter learned from Shenzhen Customs that in the first two months of this year, Shenzhen's cumulative import and export scale remained the largest among mainland cities, reaching 824.23 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 37.3%. Among them, exports amounted to 494.36 billion yuan, an increase of 35.5%; Imports amounted to 329.87 billion yuan, an increase of 40%.
It is reported that in the first two months of this year, Shenzhen's foreign trade mainly showed five characteristics.
Firstly, general trade accounts for over half of the total and is rapidly growing by over 40%. In the first two months of this year, Shenzhen imported and exported 462.58 billion yuan through general trade, an increase of 46.4%, accounting for 56.1% of Shenzhen's total import and export value during the same period. During the same period, the import and export of bonded logistics reached 218.19 billion yuan, an increase of 28.9%, accounting for 26.5%; The import and export of processing trade reached 140.49 billion yuan, an increase of 26.8%, accounting for 17%.
Secondly, private enterprises account for over 70% of imports and exports. In the first two months, the import and export of private enterprises in Shenzhen reached 599.18 billion yuan, an increase of 47.6%, accounting for 72.7%, driving Shenzhen's foreign trade growth by 32.2 percentage points. During the same period, the import and export of foreign-invested enterprises reached 206.65 billion yuan, an increase of 25.5%, accounting for 25.1%.
Thirdly, the import and export of the top ten trading partners have all maintained growth. In the first two months, Shenzhen's total imports and exports to the top ten trading partners amounted to 632.83 billion yuan, an increase of 36%, accounting for 76.8%. Among them, Hong Kong, ASEAN, and the European Union are the top three trading partners, with imports and exports of 140.82 billion yuan, 126.72 billion yuan, and 85.69 billion yuan, respectively, an increase of 40.8%, 40.1%, and 40%; Imports and exports to the fourth to seventh place US, Taiwan, China, Japan and South Korea were 75.17 billion yuan, 73.09 billion yuan, 45.97 billion yuan and 41.66 billion yuan, up 27.1%, 5.4%, 87.7% and 28.5% respectively; India, Australia, and the United Kingdom ranked eighth to tenth, with imports and exports of 15.74 billion yuan, 14.79 billion yuan, and 13.18 billion yuan, respectively, an increase of 22.6%, 118.5%, and 54%.
Fourthly, the export of products related to traditional electronic information industry and emerging industries has maintained growth. In the first two months, Shenzhen exported mechanical and electrical products worth 360.17 billion yuan, an increase of 30.6%, accounting for 72.9% of Shenzhen's total export value during the same period. In the traditional electronic information field, exports of computers and their components, as well as audio and video equipment and their components, amounted to 51.86 billion yuan and 15.88 billion yuan, respectively, with growth rates of 15% and 33.5%; The export of integrated circuits reached 42.64 billion yuan, an increase of 51.8%. In emerging industries, exports of lithium batteries, medical equipment, and 3D printers reached 16.02 billion yuan, 5.23 billion yuan, and 2.55 billion yuan, respectively, with growth rates of 60.4%, 12.9%, and 183.7%.
The fifth is the rapid growth of electronic component imports. In the first two months, Shenzhen imported mechanical and electrical products worth 253.42 billion yuan, an increase of 33.4%, accounting for 76.8% of Shenzhen's total import value during the same period. Among them, imported integrated circuits amounted to 144.95 billion yuan, an increase of 38.6%; Imported computer components amounted to 62.65 billion yuan, an increase of 57%.
