National Data Administration: Multiple measures to promote high-quality development of digital economy this year
At the press conference held by the State Council Information Office today, the relevant person in charge of the National Data Administration introduced that this year, efforts will be made to promote the high-quality development of the digital economy through the cultivation of digital industry clusters and the growth of innovative enterprises in the digital economy.
Liu Liehong, Director of the National Data Administration, introduced that during the 14th Five Year Plan period, the proportion of added value of the core industries of the digital economy to GDP has risen from 7.8% in 2020 to over 10.5% in 2025, with an average annual compound growth rate of 12.8%, far higher than the growth rate of GDP during the same period. The fundamental and pillar role of the core industries of the digital economy in the national economy has become more prominent. This year, the country will make every effort to promote high-quality development of the digital economy.
Liu Liehong, member of the Party Group of the National Development and Reform Commission and Director of the National Data Administration, stated that digital industry clusters should be cultivated in a hierarchical manner. Using data chains to drive the deep integration of innovation chain, industry chain, capital chain, and talent chain, and promote the development of three types of digital industry clusters: innovation led, regional pillar, and regional characteristic. Cultivate and strengthen innovative enterprises in the digital economy. This year, we will work with relevant departments such as the National Development and Reform Commission to select a group of enterprises with strong innovation vitality and great growth potential for cultivation, and provide "one-stop" policy support in computing power, data, scenarios, funding, and other aspects.
In addition, the country will promote the comprehensive digital transformation of cities, accelerate the digital empowerment of manufacturing industry to improve quality and efficiency, accelerate the cultivation of high-value scenarios such as logistics, finance, healthcare, and elderly care, and use data fusion applications to support the development of the service industry.
