Qingdao Jiaodong Airport Customs seized 450 medical antipyretic stickers in inbound parcels
Recently, Qingdao Jiaodong Airport Customs seized 90 boxes of medical antipyretic stickers totaling 450 stickers in inbound express shipments.
During the X-ray machine inspection of one imported parcel declared as a "cooling sticker" by the customs courier on site, it was found that there were obvious abnormalities in the image. After thorough inspection upon opening the box, it was found that the actual goods were 90 boxes of medical antipyretic stickers, totaling 450 stickers. This product is used for physical cooling of the body surface and is managed as a Class I medical device in China. The goods on this shipment do not have Chinese labels and instructions, and the consignee cannot provide a medical device registration certificate.
According to regulations, the consignee or agent of imported medical devices shall truthfully declare to the customs and provide a medical device filing or registration certificate. Imported medical devices should have Chinese instructions and labels, and the instructions and labels should comply with the provisions of the Regulations on the Supervision and Administration of Medical Devices and relevant mandatory standards. Without relevant certificates, imports are not allowed. (Liu Peng/Text)
