The domestically produced large cruise ship "Aida Huacheng" has docked

On March 20th, the second domestically produced large cruise ship "Aida Huacheng" was docked and transferred to the dock for mooring and commissioning, with a planned delivery date of October 2026. The "Aida Huacheng" has a total tonnage of 141900 tons and a total length of 341 meters. Its scale is further expanded compared to the first domestically produced cruise ship, the "Aida Magic City", with a total of 25 million components on board.

During the construction of cruise ships, it is necessary to introduce a large number of critical production equipment, which have the characteristics of large volume, high precision, and wide processing coverage. This places higher demands on the full process supervision of processing trade registration, verification, and other processes. Shanghai Pudong Customs, under the jurisdiction of Shanghai Customs, has established an efficient response mechanism to promptly answer various difficult problems encountered by enterprises during the construction process. Since the construction of the "Aida Huacheng" began in August 2022, as of the end of February 2026, Shanghai Pudong Customs has supervised a total of 1651 batches of bonded materials for cruise projects, with a value of approximately 378 million US dollars.

During the construction process of the "Aida Huacheng", Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. innovatively adopted a self-developed intelligent platform to achieve flat management in various aspects of project design, procurement, logistics, processing, financial settlement, etc., effectively improving resource efficiency and cost control level.
