According to statistics from Fuzhou Customs, in the first two months of 2026, Fujian Province exported ships worth 4.11 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 214.6%, achieving a "good start" in exports.
The European Union is the largest market for ship exports in Fujian Province. In the first two months, Fujian Province exported ships to the European Union worth 1.08 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 361.9%, accounting for 26.2% of the total value of ship exports in Fujian Province during the same period. In addition, exports to the African region also showed strong growth, with exports of ships worth 750 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 949.8%, accounting for 18.4%.
The export growth rate of bulk carriers and liquid cargo ships in Fujian Province is impressive. In the first two months, Fujian Province exported bulk cargo ships worth 1.78 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 223.5%, accounting for 43.3% of the total value of Fujian Province's ship exports during the same period; The export of liquid cargo ships reached 1.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 153.8 times, accounting for 31.6%.
State owned enterprises lead, accounting for over 90%. In the first two months, state-owned enterprises in Fujian Province exported ships worth 3.8 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 244.5%, accounting for 92.5% of the total value of ship exports in Fujian Province during the same period; Private enterprises exported ships worth 280 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 39.4%.
