China Blue News: Strong resilience, Ningbo's trade volume with Central and Eastern Europe exceeded billions in January and February

According to statistics from Ningbo Customs, the import and export volume between Ningbo and Central and Eastern European countries in January and February was 10.62 billion yuan, an increase of 4.1% compared to the same period last year. Among them, exports were 9.67 billion yuan and imports were 950 million yuan. The two-way trade achieved a steady start and demonstrated strong resilience.
Relying on the cooperation mechanism between China and Central and Eastern European countries, Ningbo precisely links high-quality resources from various Central and Eastern European countries. On the one hand, it introduces high cost-effective and high-quality Central and Eastern European specialty products, and on the other hand, it promotes the efficient export of local advantageous products, with two-way efforts and coordinated growth in import and export.
In terms of imports, the performance of high-tech products, agricultural products, food and other imports is impressive. The import of high-tech products reached 22.092 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.5 times; The import of agricultural products was 41.516 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.6 times; Food imports amounted to 39.624 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.7 times. The export sector continued to maintain high growth, with exports of high-tech products reaching 810 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 60.7%; The export of plastic products reached 500 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18.4%.
Rose essential oil is a microcosm of imported specialty products from Central and Eastern Europe. As a characteristic industry in Bulgaria, the output of rose essential oil accounts for 70%~80% of the world. Ningbo Dijia Weida Trading Co., Ltd. is the excavator and promoter of this "rose business opportunity", focusing on importing rose essential oil series skin care products in this country, covering hand cream, face cream, toner and other categories. Our core advantage is precisely discovering healthy, effective, and cost-effective products in Central and Eastern European countries, especially in agricultural countries like Bulgaria, "said Chen Yi, the head of the enterprise. In January and February, the import and export trade volume between Ningbo and Bulgaria was 410 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 84.4%, with a rapid import momentum of 50 million yuan, an increase of 102.3%. Behind this impressive data is the increasingly close inter customs cooperation between Ningbo Customs and the China Central and Eastern European Countries Agricultural Cooperation Promotion Association in Bulgaria. By strengthening information exchange and facilitating customs clearance cooperation, both sides have effectively enhanced mutual trust and cooperation, pressing the "acceleration key" for the smooth entry of Bulgarian agricultural products into the Chinese market.
In addition to the "hard power" of high-quality goods, policy advantages also provide strong momentum for commodity trade in Central and Eastern Europe. The China Serbia (Serbia) Free Trade Agreement, as the first free trade agreement between China and Central and Eastern European countries, has been implemented for nearly two years, and its institutional opening-up dividends are being transformed into tangible economic benefits. In January and February, Ningbo exported 370 million yuan to Serbia, an increase of 28.1%. During the same period, Haishu Customs under Ningbo Customs issued a total of 144 certificates of origin for the China Serbia Free Trade Agreement, involving goods worth 29.849 million yuan, a significant increase of 111.8% and 122.2% respectively. Green Grid Machinery (Ningbo) Co., Ltd. is a beneficiary of the policy. In January and February, Haishu Customs issued 15 certificates of origin for the China Serbia Free Trade Agreement, an increase of 114.3%. The company's export value increased by 208.2%, injecting strong impetus into the company's deep cultivation of the Central and Eastern European markets and expansion of overseas territory.
From Bulgarian rose essential oil to Serbian specialty products, from precise enterprise layout to policy support from customs, Ningbo is deepening cooperation with Central and Eastern European countries through practical measures, enabling high-quality development of bilateral trade in both directions. Ningbo Customs will actively use the 'Pro Qing Direct Train • Enterprise Demand Customs Response' mechanism to assist enterprise development, focus on enterprise needs, enhance policy interpretation and customs clearance services, and support more Ningbo enterprises to explore the Central and Eastern European markets, "said Chen Yan, Deputy Director of the Comprehensive Business Department of Haishu Customs under Ningbo Customs.
