RCEP empowers Longyuan's foreign trade
Since the beginning of this year, Gansu Province has seized the opportunity of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), achieved a good start in foreign trade imports and exports, and maintained rapid growth in trade with other RCEP member countries. According to statistics from Lanzhou Customs, in the first two months, Gansu Province's imports and exports to other RCEP member countries amounted to 4.62 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18.1%.
In Huixian County of Longnan, the production workshops of Gansu Zhaofeng Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. were packed with batches of Rolls of dried bean milk creams and bean bell rolls off the production line, and were about to take the RCEP policy dividend for export. Enterprise leader Ran Kui introduced that with the RCEP certificate of origin, products enjoy tariff reductions in markets such as Thailand and Malaysia, reducing customs clearance costs and enhancing competitiveness. Since the beginning of this year, export orders have continued to grow, and soy products have become a characteristic representative of "sweet taste" agricultural products in the international market.
The policy dividends continue to be released, and the convenience of customs clearance continues to increase. Lanzhou Customs fully implements the RCEP cumulative rules of origin, promotes convenient measures such as online verification, self-service printing, and instant issuance of certificates of origin, opens a "green channel" for the export of characteristic agricultural products, guides enterprises to accurately apply tariff reduction policies, reduces trade costs, and improves customs clearance efficiency. In the first two months, Lanzhou Customs issued a total of 1440 certificates of origin for various types of exports, a year-on-year increase of 28.6%; The visa amount was 550 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 21.8%.
From agricultural products to new energy, new materials, and equipment manufacturing, Gansu's export product structure continues to optimize, and its trading partners continue to expand. Since the implementation of RCEP, economic and trade exchanges between Gansu and member countries such as ASEAN, Australia, and New Zealand have become increasingly close. New forms of cross-border e-commerce and market procurement have steadily developed, and open platforms such as China Europe freight trains and international land ports have strengthened their support, laying a solid foundation for high-quality development of foreign trade.
