Recently, in the plum greenhouse in Xiaoshipeng Street, Gaizhou City, Liaoning Province, fresh red plums hung from the branches, sweet and tempting. The fruit farmers are engaged in picking operations, and the picked plums are immediately sent to the packaging factory for sorting and packing. After passing the inspection by the Bayuquan Customs officers under Dalian Customs, a batch of early spring plums with a total weight of 10 tons were successfully cleared and released, and then exported overseas.
In recent years, through improved planting techniques, early maturing plums, peaches, and cherries in Yingkou area can be harvested and marketed in April every year. This year, due to rising temperatures, the ripening period of plums and peaches has been shortened, and foreign customers' fruit orders originally planned to purchase in April have been temporarily advanced to early March. "Liu Riguo, the person in charge of Yingkou Yongsheng Fruit and Vegetable Co., Ltd., said," After understanding the relevant situation, the customs immediately launched emergency inspection procedures and completed the inspection and certification in just two hours, ensuring that our batch of plums can be shipped and exported on time
To help expand the export of characteristic fruits in the jurisdiction, Bayuquan Customs tailored a comprehensive pest control plan for greenhouse cultivation based on the northern climate characteristics, and provided hands-on guidance to fruit farmers to carry out standardized pest and disease monitoring and pesticide residue monitoring. At the same time, real-time collection of the latest trade trends and quarantine requirements at home and abroad, establishment of a warning information database, guidance for enterprises to understand the latest food safety technical regulations in advance, assistance in completing EAC compliance statements, and ensuring that exported fruits meet foreign entry quarantine requirements.
In addition, during the customs clearance process, Bayuquan Customs has opened a "green channel" for exporting agricultural products, implementing "priority inspection" and "7 × 24-hour" scheduled inspections to ensure "same day dispatch, same day inspection, and same day certificate release".
According to statistics, in the first two months of this year, Bayuquan Customs supervised the export of 51.55 tons of early maturing fruits with a value of 1.4671 million yuan, an increase of 177.14% and 294.21% year-on-year, respectively.
