In the first two months of this year, the export value of automobiles in Fujian Province exceeded 3 billion yuan, with an increase of over 80%

In the first two months of this year, Fuzhou Port Jiangyin Port Area has exported 12565 cars, far exceeding the same period in previous years. At present, the global automotive industry is accelerating its transformation towards electrification and intelligence. With the deep linkage of "industrial clusters" and "port channels", Fujian Province has transformed its industrial advantages into export advantages, providing strong support for foreign trade growth. According to statistics from Fuzhou Customs, in the first two months of 2026, Fujian Province's automobile exports amounted to 3.19 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 83.6%.

Fujian Province's automobile exports have shown outstanding performance in emerging markets. In the first two months, Fujian Province exported 650 million yuan and 250 million yuan worth of automobiles to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, respectively, an increase of 64.4% and 32.4% year-on-year, accounting for 28.1% of Fujian Province's total automobile export value during the same period; Exports to the African region have grown rapidly, with a year-on-year increase of 242.7%. Among them, exports to Tunisia amounted to 290 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 251.3 times. The performance in the traditional market is equally impressive, with exports of 150 million yuan worth of cars to the European Union, a year-on-year increase of 117.2%.

Fujian Province's exported automobiles are divided into passenger cars and commercial vehicles. In the first two months, the export of commercial vehicles in Fujian Province was 1.62 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 65.5%. Among them, the export of passenger cars (with ten seats or more) was 1.28 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 87.9%, and the export of trucks was 190 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 19.8%; Passenger car exports amounted to 1.58 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 106.8%. During the same period, the export of self owned brand automobiles in Fujian Province increased significantly, with an export value of 2.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 135.3%, accounting for 81.3% of the total export value of automobiles in Fujian Province during the same period.

Wang Jun, the project manager of China Fuzhou Ocean Shipping Agency Co., Ltd., stated that the competitiveness of local cars made in Fujian in the international market is constantly increasing, which directly drives the quantity of whole vehicle exports. He hopes to promote more Fujian made cars to efficiently go global in the future.

In order to accelerate the entry of Fujian Province's automobile industry into the international market, Fuzhou Customs is promoting the construction of a smart customs and the "Smart Customs Strong Country" action, building an efficient foreign trade service system adapted to the automobile industry, deeply releasing policy dividends such as free trade agreements and AEO certification, optimizing export supervision service processes, and combining customs clearance facilitation measures such as "advance declaration", "direct loading upon arrival", and "appointment inspection and release" to help Fujian produced automobiles "sail" globally.
