On the morning of March 7th, vehicles shuttled through the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Logistics Park in Zhuhai, bustling with over 20000 boxes of exported e-commerce products such as clothing and beauty being quickly sorted, classified, and packaged by customs supervision before being exported overseas via Macau Airport.
In recent years, the cross-border e-commerce industry has flourished, and the export volume of cross-border e-commerce goods in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Logistics Park has grown rapidly. Li Haijian, the manager of Zhuhai Huichang Transportation Investment Co., Ltd. and the operating unit of Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Logistics Park, introduced that since the cross-border e-commerce business of Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Logistics Park was opened on March 7, 2024, the logistics park has exported a total of 25.864 million e-commerce products with a value of about 3.45 billion yuan in the past two years.
The Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Logistics Park is a clearly defined construction project in the Development Plan Outline of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. It is the core logistics platform of the new economic and trade channel of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge, and is about 13 kilometers away from the Zhuhai Highway Port of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge. In the two years since its establishment, the park has gradually formed a diversified business synergy development pattern of cross-border e-commerce and general cargo express delivery, and the export business of cross-border e-commerce has developed rapidly. Relying on the advantages of logistics park location and customs policy support, exported e-commerce goods can be delivered to Macau airport within 30 minutes and Hong Kong airport within 50 minutes. Currently, multiple leading e-commerce platforms such as Xiyin, Pinduoduo, and Taobao have launched cross-border e-commerce services through the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Logistics Park. It is expected that the business scale will further expand this year, "said Li Haijian.
The rapid development of cross-border e-commerce business has put forward higher requirements for customs clearance efficiency.
