Seize a batch of copper concentrate exceeding the standard

Recently, officials from Tongling Customs, a subsidiary of Hefei Customs, conducted on-site inspections and sampled a batch of imported copper concentrate weighing 877.3 tons for testing. According to laboratory testing, the arsenic content in this batch of imported copper concentrates seriously exceeds the limit specified in the Announcement on the Announcement of the Limits of Toxic and Harmful Elements in Imported Copper Concentrates, with an exceedance rate of 18%. According to the Implementation Regulations of the Import and Export Commodity Inspection Law of the People's Republic of China, if imported goods subject to statutory inspection are found to be unqualified in terms of personal and property safety, health, and environmental protection, the parties involved shall be ordered to destroy them or return them to the country. At present, the batch of unqualified copper concentrate has been returned from the port under customs supervision.
