Recently, at the Xintang Port in Zengcheng, Guangzhou, 21 standard containers loaded with car glass, motorcycle components, and other goods were lifted under the supervision of Zengcheng Customs under Huangpu Customs. These goods will soon be transported by barge to Shenzhen Shekou Port through the "Xintang Shekou" combined port mode.
It is understood that under the "Xintang Shekou" combined port model, enterprises can complete customs clearance procedures such as declaration, inspection, and release in a "one-stop" manner at Xintang Port, which is equivalent to extending Shekou Port to the hinterland of Xintang, greatly reducing the transit link and customs clearance time.
In the past, our goods were mainly transported by land to Shekou Port, which was highly uncertain due to traffic conditions. Now, with the combination port model, we can pack and stack the goods in advance at Xintang Port, which not only allows for more flexible time arrangements but also alleviates warehouse shortages. The cost of single box logistics can be saved by about 350 yuan, which is a real cost reduction and efficiency improvement, "said Yang Binmei, the customs officer of Guangzhou Fuyao Glass Co., Ltd.
In order to promote the implementation and effectiveness of this model, Zengcheng Customs has deepened its business growth potential, accurately identified the logistics needs of enterprises in its jurisdiction, screened the list of potential cooperative enterprises, built an efficient customs enterprise cooperation docking platform, and promoted key leading enterprises to apply the combined port mode for customs clearance.
In addition, Zengcheng Customs continues to deepen the reform of customs clearance facilitation, implementing early declaration and appointment clearance services, and adding facilitation measures such as "paperless operations" and "direct loading upon arrival" to improve the efficiency of goods turnover. Relying on the manifest management system to carry out data monitoring, combined with ship allocation plans, dynamically tracking container flow and GPS logistics trajectories, and strengthening regulatory efficiency.
According to statistics, from January to February this year, Zengcheng Customs supervised the export of 374 TEUs of goods with a value of 97.01 million yuan, an increase of 1.5 times and 33.8% year-on-year, respectively. Driven by the new model, the import and export business of Xintang Port has grown significantly, with a year-on-year increase of 146% in import and export volume from January to February this year.
