The import and export value of the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region in 2025 is expected to reach a historical high of 4.7 trillion yuan
According to statistics from Tianjin Customs, since the coordinated development of Beijing Tianjin Hebei region became a national strategy, the import and export value of the region has increased from 3.74 trillion yuan in 2014 to 4.7 trillion yuan in 2025, an increase of 25.7%. In 2025, the export value of the three regions will reach 1.45 trillion yuan, a historic high, with a year-on-year increase of 6% and a growth rate of 56.9% compared to 2014.
Data shows that by 2025, the import and export value of the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region will account for 10.3% of the total import and export value of the country. The vitality of private enterprises has increased, with 49300 enterprises with import and export performance, an increase of 4863 compared to the previous year, achieving an import and export value of 1.36 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12.2%, accounting for 28.9% of the total import and export value of the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region, an increase of 4.9 percentage points compared to the previous year and 15.4 percentage points compared to 2014.
Enterprises in the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region maintain trade relations with more than 240 countries and regions. Among the main export destinations last year, the export value to ASEAN and the European Union was 240.74 billion yuan and 188.92 billion yuan, respectively, an increase of 4.9% and 5% year-on-year. During the same period, exports to other BRICS member countries amounted to 155.12 billion yuan, an increase of 17.2%, driving the overall export growth rate of the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region by 1.7 percentage points. In addition, the export growth rate to the five Central Asian countries reached 38.2%.
From the perspective of export commodity types, mechanical and electrical products have become important "ballast stones". Last year, the export value reached 828.73 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.7%, accounting for nearly 60% of the total export value of the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region during the same period. Among them, the export value of electrical equipment, automotive spare parts, and integrated circuits increased by 16.4%, 9.4%, and 9.1% respectively year-on-year, and the export growth rate of ships reached as high as 139.7%.
