After early spring, tea trees are sprouting vigorously. In the organic tea garden of Zhengwan Village, Nanping Town, Pu'er City, Yunnan Province, at an altitude of 1500 meters, new shoots are sprouting green and full of vitality. Tea farmers carry bamboo baskets around their waists, with their fingertips rapidly rising and falling between the tea shoots, picking the plump buds that still have dew into the baskets.

This year, the growth of tea is particularly good. Currently, there are more than 10 tons of overseas orders, and this batch of spring tea has been locked in advance, "said Dong Tianwu, Deputy General Manager of Pu'er Zuxiang Gaoshan Tea Garden Co., Ltd.

The early spring tea harvested before Qingming Festival is particularly precious. After being stored in winter and having a strong tea aroma, it is known as the best quality tea of the year and is highly favored by consumers at home and abroad. In order to ensure that spring tea can compete for "fresh" exports, Kunming Customs has established a "one-to-one" customs enterprise service mechanism, set up a "green channel" for tea exports, optimized the sampling and inspection process, shortened the testing cycle by more than 20%, and ensured "zero delay" in tea customs clearance.

According to customs data, in the first two months of 2026, Pu'er City in Yunnan Province exported 1.6 tons of tea with a value of 3.932 million yuan, an increase of 3.3 times and 1.4 times year-on-year, respectively. (Wang Han/Text)
